What to do in case of an accident or damaged car?

In the unfortunate event of an accident, the guest has the responsibility of taking the following actions.

Step 1

  • Call ambulance if someone is injured.

  • Collect information of all involved parties and fill out this accident form.

  • The accident form may ask you of the following information (but not limited to):

  • Registration number(s) of the other vehicle(s).

  • Name(s) and contact number(s) of the other driver(s)

  • Date, time and location of accident.

  • Name(s) and contact number(s) of witness(es), if any

  • Damages caused to the other vehicle(s).

  • Damages caused to your own vehicle.

  • Injuries, if any, caused to person(s) involved in the accident.

  • If possible, take photographs of the positions of the vehicles after the accident, the accident site and the damages caused to the vehicles involved in the accident.


Step 2

  • Report to the police:

    If injury is sustained; or

    A government vehicle or property is involved; or

    A foreign registered vehicle is involved; or

    A cyclist or pedestrian is involved.

Step 3: Report the Accident to Drive mate

  • Contact us to report the accident and forward the completed accident form.

  • Advise Drive mate of the vehicle’s whereabouts and coordinate with Drive mate on getting it towed to the Host’s preferred workshop (if police won’t collect the vehicle due to the accident).

  • Drive mate team will take over and ensure that the accident case is resolved in a fair and timely manner.
