The eligibility criteria for renting a car on Drive mate is as follows:

- Must hold a valid driving license - Australian or International

- Minimum age: 18

- If Australian licence - then full licences (not provisional or learner)

- Less than 25 years is considered a young driver which will attract a surcharge of 10%
