How do I Pick Up and Drop Off the car?

For Physical Key Handover Cars

• Pickup:

  1. Meet Your Host: Arrive at the car’s location and meet the Host. Present your driver’s license for verification.

  2. Start the Process: Begin the pickup process on the Trip page.

  3. Take Exterior Photos: Upload photos of the car’s exterior from all angles, capturing any visible damages.

  4. Receive the Keys: Once the photos are uploaded, the Host will hand over the keys.

  5. Interior Pictures: (Optional) Take interior photos to document the condition. 

  6. Odometer: Capture and upload the odometer reading and a photo of the fuel gauge.

  7. Ready to Go: Complete the pickup process. Once the Host confirms, you’re all set to start your trip!

  Drop-Off:

  1. Return to the Drop-Off Location: Head back to the agreed drop-off point.

  2. Begin the Process: Start the drop-off process on the Trip page.

  3. Document the Car’s Condition: Just like with pickup, include the odometer reading and fuel gauge. Also take and upload exterior and (optional) interior photos,

  4. Hand Over the Keys: Return the keys to the Host.

  5. Finish Up: Complete the drop-off process and don’t forget to leave a review for your Host.

  For Lockbox Cars

  Pickup:

  1. Reach the Car’s Location: Head to the car's location—details are on the trip page in our app & website

  2. Start the Process: Initiate the pickup process on the Trip page.

  3. Document Everything: Capture and upload exterior photos from all angles, noting any damages. Then, upload a selfie with your driver’s license.

  4. Get the Keys: Call the Host for the lockbox code, retrieve the keys, and unlock the car.

  5. Check the Interior: (Optional) Take and upload interior photos

  6. Odometer: Upload the odometer reading and fuel gauge photo.

  7. You’re Set: Complete the process and begin your trip!

  Drop-Off:

  1. Arrive at the Drop-Off Point: Head to the drop-off location.

  2. Start the Final Process: Begin the drop-off process on the Trip page, documenting the car’s exterior and interior, and updating the odometer and fuel gauge photos.

  3. Secure the Car: Lock the car and return the keys to the lockbox.

  4. Finish and Review: Complete the drop-off process and leave a review to share your experience.

  For Drive mate Go Cars

  Pickup:

  1. Locate the Car: Head to the car's location—details are on the trip page in our app & website

  2. Start the Process: Begin the pickup process on the Trip page.

  3. Exterior Documentation: Take and upload photos of the car’s exterior, capturing all angles and any visible damages.
