This guide explains how to generate a lockbox code to open the lockbox and a shackle code to remove the lockbox from your vehicle or property.
Part 1: Generate a Lockbox Code (To Open the Lockbox)
You can generate a lockbox code via the Drive mate app.
Steps:
Open the Drive mate app and log in.
Go to the Listings tab.
Swipe left on your lockbox-enabled vehicle.
Tap Manage Access.
Swipe the lockbox code slider to the right to generate a one-time access code.
Note: You can only generate a lockbox code when your vehicle is not on an active Drive mate trip. This protects the guest’s privacy.

Part 2: Generate a Shackle Code (To Remove the Lockbox)
The shackle code lets you attach/detach the lockbox from your property.
How to generate a shackle code:
Open the Drive mate app.
Go to Listings → swipe left on your vehicle → tap Manage Access.
Tap Generate Shackle Code.
How to enter the shackle code:
On the lockbox keypad, press:
ENT → FUNC → 1 → enter your shackle code → ENT
Press the shackle downward (or against a firm surface) until the whirring sound stops.
Remove the shackle.
If the code has expired, you can regenerate a new code in the app.
